A. Adult protection authority

¹ The adult protection authority is a specialist authority. It is appointed by the cantons.

² It has a quorum of three members for taking decisions. The cantons may provide for exceptions for specific matters.

³ It also carries out the tasks of the child protection authority.

A. Erwachsenenschutzbehörde

¹ Die Erwachsenenschutzbehörde ist eine Fachbehörde. Sie wird von den Kantonen bestimmt.

² Sie fällt ihre Entscheide mit mindestens drei Mitgliedern. Die Kantone können für bestimmte Geschäfte Ausnahmen vorsehen.

³ Sie hat auch die Aufgaben der Kindesschutzbehörde.
