1 The multi-year programme contains the goals and priorities of federal statistical policy for the legislative period. It also includes information on measures that relieve the burden on those involved in the conduct of surveys, on the required financial and human resources and on international cooperation.
2 The Federal Statistical Office participates in the preparation of the legislative programme, in order to ensure the coordination of the multi-year programme with the legislative programme.
3 In the preparation of the multi-year programme, the Federal Office takes account wherever possible of the information needs of the cantons, communes, the scientific world, the private sector, social partners and international organisations.
4 The federal statistics generators provide the Federal Office with information on the aim, content and form of their planned statistical work as well as a list of the planned resources.
5 If new statistical work, a fundamental modification or the termination of existing statistical work is planned, the Federal Office must be notified without delay. The Federal Office must be regularly informed of developments relating to the planning of statistical work.
1 Das Mehrjahresprogramm enthält die Ziele und Prioritäten der Statistikpolitik des Bundes während der Legislaturperiode. Es umfasst auch Angaben über Massnahmen, welche die Belastung der an Erhebungen mitwirkenden Kreise begrenzen, über die benötigten finanziellen und personellen Mittel und über die internationale Zusammenarbeit.
2 Das Bundesamt für Statistik nimmt an der Vorbereitung des Legislaturprogramms teil, um die Koordination des Mehrjahresprogramms mit dem Legislaturprogramm sicherzustellen.
3 Bei der Erstellung des Mehrjahresprogramms berücksichtigt das Bundesamt soweit möglich die Informationsbedürfnisse der Kantone, der Gemeinden, der Wissenschaft, der Privatwirtschaft, der Sozialpartner und der internationalen Organisationen.
4 Die Statistikproduzenten des Bundes liefern dem Bundesamt Informationen über Ziel, Inhalt und Art der geplanten statistischen Arbeiten sowie eine Aufstellung der vorgesehenen Ressourcen.
5 Wird eine neue statistische Arbeit, eine grundlegende Änderung oder die Aufhebung einer bestehenden statistischen Arbeit geplant, so ist das Bundesamt umgehend zu orientieren. Dieses muss regelmässig über die Weiterentwicklung der Planung der statistischen Arbeiten informiert werden.
