810.31 Federal Act of 19 December 2003 on Research Involving Embryonic Stem Cells (Stem Cell Research Act, StRA)
Art. 12 Esigenze scientifiche ed etiche dei progetti
Un progetto di ricerca con cellule staminali embrionali può essere svolto soltanto a condizione che:
- a.
- il progetto permetta di ottenere conoscenze essenziali:
- 1.
- per accertare, curare o impedire gravi malattie dell’essere umano, o
- 2.
- sulla biologia dello sviluppo dell’essere umano;
- b.
- conoscenze equivalenti non possano essere ottenute in altro modo;
- c.
- il progetto soddisfi le esigenze scientifiche di qualità; e
- d.
- il progetto sia eticamente sostenibile.
Art. 12 Scientific and ethical requirements for research projects
A research project involving embryonic stem cells may only be carried out if:
- a.
- the project is designed to yield significant insights:
- 1.
- with regard to the detection, treatment or prevention of serious human diseases, or
- 2.
- concerning human developmental biology;
- b.
- equivalent insights cannot also be gained in a different way;
- c.
- the project satisfies the scientific quality requirements; and
- d.
- the project is ethically acceptable.
