Art. 2 Profilo del DNA e uso previsto

1 Il profilo del DNA contiene informazioni su caratteristiche del patrimonio genetico specifiche di una persona, determinate mediante un esame genetico e utilizzate per identificare tale persona.7

2 L’analisi del DNA non può essere utilizzata per accertare né lo stato di salute, né altre caratteristiche individuali della persona implicata, ad eccezione del sesso.

3 Il profilo del DNA e il relativo materiale d’analisi possono essere utilizzati soltanto per gli scopi previsti dalla presente legge (art. 1).

Art. 2 DNA profile and use

1 A DNA profile contains information about specific characteristics of the genetic material of a person that are determined by genetic testing and used to identify that person.7

2 DNA analysis may only be used to determine the gender of the person concerned; it may not be used to determine their health or other personal characteristics.

3 A DNA profile and its underlying analysis material may not be used for any purposes other than those provided for under this Act (Art. 1).
