Art. 2 Subject matter

The census is a survey of persons, households as well as buildings and dwellings that provides the authorities, the business community, research institutions and other interested parties with statistical data that forms the basis for:

a.: planning;
b.: political decisions;
c.: research;
d.: information given to the general public;
e.: the compilation of other statistics.

Art. 2 Objet

Le recensement de la population est un relevé sur les personnes, les ménages, les bâtiments et les logements qui met à la disposition des autorités, de l’économie, des milieux de la recherche et des autres milieux intéressés des données statistiques servant:

a.: à la planification;
b.: à la prise de décisions politiques;
c.: à la recherche;
d.: à l’information du public;
e.: à la production d’autres statistiques.
