Art. 68 Service of documents. General provisions

1 Where a Swiss authority is requested to serve documents, service may be effected by personal or postal delivery to the recipient.

2 The Federal Council may permit the direct service of documents from abroad to the recipient in Switzerland. It shall determine the conditions for such service.

3 Service is presumed to be effected if acceptance or refusal to accept has been confirmed in writing.

Art. 68 Notification. Généralités

1 La notification de documents, requise des autorités suisses, peut s’exécuter par simple remise au destinataire ou par voie postale.

2 Le Conseil fédéral peut autoriser la notification de documents étrangers directement à leur destinataire en Suisse. Il en fixe les conditions.

3 La notification est réputée exécutée si l’acceptation ou le refus de l’acte est confirmé par écrit.
