1 Die ComCom und das BAKOM können Personendaten, einschliesslich Daten über administrative oder strafrechtliche Verfolgungen und Sanktionen sowie Persönlichkeitsprofile, bearbeiten, sofern dies für die Erfüllung der ihnen durch die Fernmeldegesetzgebung auferlegten Aufgaben unerlässlich ist. Sie können hierzu ein Informationssystem benutzen.
2 Sie treffen die für den Schutz und die Sicherheit der Daten bei der Bearbeitung, insbesondere bei der Übermittlung, nötigen technischen und organisatorischen Massnahmen.
3 Der Bundesrat kann ergänzende Bestimmungen erlassen, namentlich über die Organisation und den Betrieb des Informationssystems, über die Kategorien der zu bearbeitenden Daten, über die Zugriffs- und Bearbeitungsberechtigung, über die Aufbewahrungsdauer sowie über die Archivierung und Vernichtung der Daten.

1 ComCom and OFCOM may process personal data, including data concerning administrative or criminal prosecutions and penalties and personality profiles, provided that this is indispensable for the fulfilment of the tasks imposed on them by the telecommunications legislation. They may use an information system for this purpose.
2 They shall take the technical and organisational measures necessary for data protection and security during processing, and in particular during transmission.
3 The Federal Council may issue complementary provisions, namely concerning the organisation and operation of the information system, the categories of the data to be processed, access and processing authorisations, the term of conservation as well as the archiving and destruction of data.
