Art. 8 Composizione e procedura

1 L’Ufficio consta:

a.
dei membri del Consiglio di presidenza;
b.
di quattro scrutatori;
c.
dei presidenti dei gruppi parlamentari.

2 In caso di impedimento, gli scrutatori possono farsi rappresentare dagli scrutatori supplenti e i presidenti dei gruppi da membri dei loro gruppi.

3 Per la ripartizione dei seggi degli scrutatori e degli scrutatori supplenti tra i gruppi parlamentari si applicano per analogia gli articoli 40 e 41 della legge federale del 17 dicembre 19763 sui diritti politici; alla durata del mandato si applica per analogia l’articolo 17 capoversi 1 e 4.

4 Il presidente partecipa alle votazioni nell’Ufficio. In caso di parità, il suo voto decide.

Art. 8 Composition and procedure

1 The Bureau comprises:

a.
the three members of the Presiding College;
b.
the four Tellers;
c.
the presidents of the groups.

2 In the case of impediment, the Tellers may be substituted by their replacements, and the group presidents by any member of their group.

3 The allocation of seats of Tellers and their replacements among the parliamentary groups is regulated by Articles 40 and 41 of the Federal Act of 17 December 19763 on Political Rights; for their term of office, Article 17 paragraph 1 and 4 apply mutatis mutandis.

4 The President participates in votes in the Bureau. In the event of a tie, he or she has the casting vote.
