Art. 9b Validity of the weapon acquisition permit

1 The weapon acquisition permit is valid throughout Switzerland and authorises the holder to acquire a single weapon or a single essential weapon component.

2 The Federal Council allows for exceptions regarding the replacement of essential weapon components for a legally authorised weapon, the acquisition of several weapons or essential weapon components by the same person, or acquisition through inheritance.

3 The weapon acquisition permit is valid for six months. The competent authorities may extend its validity by a maximum of three months.

32 Inserted by Art. 3 No 6 of the FD of 17 Dec. 2004 on the Adoption and Implementation of the Bilateral Agreements between Switzerland and the EU on the Association with Schengen and Dublin, in force since 12 Dec. 2008 (AS 2008 447 5405 Art. 1 let. e; BBl 2004 5965).

2 Il Cussegl federal prevesa excepziuns per il remplazzament da parts essenzialas d’ina arma permessa legalmain sco er per l’acquist da pliras armas u parts essenzialas d’armas tar la medema persuna u per l’acquist tras successiun d’ierta.

3 La permissiun d’acquistar armas vala 6 mais. L’autoritad cumpetenta po prolungar la valaivladad per maximalmain 3 mais.

32 Integrà tras l’art. 3 cifra 6 dal COF dals 17 da dec. 2004 davart l’approvaziun e la realisaziun da las cunvegnas bilateralas tranter la Svizra e la UE per l’associaziun a la reglamentaziun da Schengen e da Dublin, en vigur dapi ils 12 da dec. 2008 (AS 2008 447 5405 art. 1 lit. e; BBl 2004 5965).
