Art. 17

1 Any person who commercially acquires, offers for acquisition, passes on or brokers weapons, essential or specially designed weapon components, ammunition or ammunition components requires a weapons trading permit.

2 A weapons trading permit is granted to a person who:

a.
is not subject to an impediment under Article 8 paragraph 2;
b.
is registered in the commercial register;
c.
in a test has shown themselves to possess adequate knowledge of the relevant weapons and ammunition, and the statutory provisions;
d.
has special commercial premises in which weapons, essential and specially designed weapon components, weapon accessories, ammunition and ammunition components can be kept securely;
e.
guarantees the proper conduct of their business affairs.

3 Legal entities must designate a member of the management who is responsible within the company for all aspects concerning this Act.

4 The Federal Department of Justice and Police issues the examination regulations and defines the minimum requirements for business premises.

5 The weapons trading permit is issued by the competent authority of the canton in which the business establishment of the applicant is located. Branches located outside the canton require their own weapons trading permit.

6 The Federal Council regulates the conditions for the participation of holders of foreign weapons trading permits in public weapons trade fairs.

7 If a transfer of possession takes place between holders of a weapons trading permit, the person transferring possession must notify the competent authority of their canton of residence of the transfer of possession, in particular of the type and number of objects transferred, within 30 days of conclusion of the contract.

Art. 17

b.
ch’è inscritta en il register da commerzi;
c.
che ha fatg in examen che cumprova ch’ella haja enconuschientschas suffizientas dals tips d’armas e da muniziun sco er da las disposiziuns legalas;
d.
che dispona da localitads da fatschenta spezialas, en las qualas armas, parts essenzialas d’armas e parts d’armas construidas spezialmain, accessoris d’armas, muniziun ed elements da muniziun pon vegnir mess en salv en moda segira;
e.
che garantescha che las fatschentas vegnian fatgas confurm a l’urden.

3 Las persunas giuridicas ston designar in commember da la direcziun ch’è responsabel entaifer l’interpresa per tut las dumondas tenor questa lescha.

4 Il Departament federal da giustia e polizia decretescha il reglament d’examen e fixescha las pretensiuns minimalas envers las localitads da fatschenta.

5 La permissiun per il commerzi cun armas vegn concedida da l’autoritad cumpetenta da quel chantun, en il qual il petent ha il domicil da sia interpresa. Filialas extrachantunalas dovran in’atgna permissiun per il commerzi cun armas.

6 Il Cussegl federal regla sut tge premissas che titulars da permissiuns estras per il commerzi cun armas pon sa participar a bursas d’armas publicas.

7 Sch’in transferiment ha lieu tranter persunas che han ina permissiun per il commerzi cun armas, sto la persuna transferenta annunziar a l’autoritad cumpetenta da ses chantun da domicil entaifer 30 dis suenter la conclusiun dal contract il transferiment, cunzunt il tip ed il dumber d’objects transferids.
