Art. 148 Status

1 Subject to the rights of the People and the Cantons, the Federal Assembly is the supreme authority of the Confederation.

2 The Federal Assembly comprises two chambers, the National Council and the Council of States; both chambers shall be of equal standing.

1 L’Assamblea federala exequescha la pussanza suprema da la Confederaziun, cun la resalva dals dretgs dal pievel e dals chantuns.

2 L’Assamblea federala sa cumpona da duas chombras, dal Cussegl naziunal e dal Cussegl dals chantuns; las duas chombras han las medemas cumpetenzas.
