Art. 1 Scope

1 This Ordinance applies to the labelling of the following products as organic products:

a.
unprocessed agricultural crop and livestock products and production animals;
b.
processed agricultural crop and livestock products intended for human consumption, prepared essentially from ingredients of plant and/or animal origin;
c.7
animal feed materials, compound feedingstuffs and feedingstuffs not covered under letter a and which are used for the feeding of production animals and pets.

2 It also applies to essential oils und to yeasts used for foodstuffs or animal feedingstuffs.8

3 It does not apply to insects as defined in the foodstuffs legislation and to products from hunting, fishing and aquaculture.9

Art. 1 Geltungsbereich

1 Diese Verordnung gilt für die Kennzeichnung folgender Erzeugnisse als biologische Produkte:

a.
nicht verarbeitete pflanzliche und tierische Agrarerzeugnisse sowie Nutztiere;
b.
verarbeitete, für den menschlichen Verzehr bestimmte pflanzliche und tierische Agrarerzeugnisse, die im Wesentlichen aus Zutaten pflanzlichen und/ oder tierischen Ursprungs bestehen;
c.7
Futtermittel-Ausgangsprodukte, Mischfuttermittel und Futtermittel, die nicht unter Buchstabe a fallen und für die Fütterung von Nutz- und Heimtieren verwendet werden.

2 Sie gilt auch für ätherische Öle und als Lebensmittel oder Futtermittel verwendete Hefen.8

3 Sie gilt nicht für Insekten im Sinne der Lebensmittelgesetzgebung und für Erzeugnisse der Jagd, der Fischerei und der Aquakultur.9
