1 The number of impregnated ova developed into embryos outside the woman’s body within one treatment cycle must not be greater than is required for medically assisted reproduction or for the analysis of the genetic material of the embryos; the maximum number shall be twelve.42

1 Ausserhalb des Körpers der Frau dürfen innerhalb eines Behandlungszyklus höchstens so viele menschliche Eizellen zu Embryonen entwickelt werden, als für die medizinisch unterstützte Fortpflanzung oder für die Untersuchung des Erbgutes der Embryonen notwendig sind; es dürfen jedoch höchstens zwölf sein.42
2 Der Embryo darf ausserhalb des Körpers der Frau nur so weit entwickelt werden, als für die Einnistung in der Gebärmutter unerlässlich ist.
