1 The cantons shall work with the communes to take the measures that are required in order that building zones are used for their assigned purpose, in particular measures required under land law such as land reorganisation projects (Art. 20).
2 Where it is in the public interest to do so, cantonal law shall provide that the competent authority set a deadline for the development of a parcel of land and can order specific measures if the deadline expires without development taking place.

1 Die Kantone treffen in Zusammenarbeit mit den Gemeinden die Massnahmen, die notwendig sind, um die Bauzonen ihrer Bestimmung zuzuführen, insbesondere bodenrechtliche Massnahmen wie Landumlegungen (Art. 20).
2 Das kantonale Recht sieht vor, dass, wenn das öffentliche Interesse es rechtfertigt, die zuständige Behörde eine Frist für die Überbauung eines Grundstücks setzen und, wenn die Frist unbenützt verstreicht, bestimmte Massnahmen anordnen kann.
