Art. 142 Computation

1 Limitation periods triggered by a communication or the occurrence of an event starting on the following day.

2 If a limitation period is measured in months, it expires on the same date of the last month as the date of the month in which the period started to run. In the absence of such a date, the period expires on the last day of the month.

3 If the last day of a limitation period is a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday recognised by federal or cantonal law at the location of the court, the period expires on the following working day.

Art. 141 Öffentliche Bekanntmachung

1 Die Zustellung erfolgt durch Publikation im kantonalen Amtsblatt oder im Schweizerischen Handelsamtsblatt, wenn:

a.
der Aufenthaltsort der Adressatin oder des Adressaten unbekannt ist und trotz zumutbarer Nachforschungen nicht ermittelt werden kann;
b.
eine Zustellung unmöglich ist oder mit ausserordentlichen Umtrieben verbunden wäre;
c.
eine Partei mit Wohnsitz oder Sitz im Ausland entgegen der Anweisung des Gerichts kein Zustellungsdomizil in der Schweiz bezeichnet hat.

2 Die Zustellung gilt am Tag der Publikation als erfolgt.
