1 The Federal Council may ban a natural person or an organisation or group from carrying out an activity that poses a specific threat to internal or external security and directly or indirectly serves to propagate, support or otherwise promote terrorist or violent-extremist activities.
2 A ban may be imposed for a maximum of five years. If the requirements are still met on expiry of this period, the ban may be extended for a maximum of five further years.
3 The applicant department shall regularly review whether the requirements are still being met. If this is no longer the case, it shall apply to the Federal Council for the ban to be lifted.
1 Der Bundesrat kann einer natürlichen Person oder einer Organisation oder Gruppierung eine Tätigkeit verbieten, welche die innere oder äussere Sicherheit konkret bedroht und mittelbar oder unmittelbar dazu dient, terroristische oder gewalttätig-extremistische Aktivitäten zu propagieren, zu unterstützen oder in anderer Weise zu fördern.
2 Ein Verbot ist auf höchstens fünf Jahre zu befristen. Sind die Voraussetzungen nach Ablauf der Frist weiterhin erfüllt, so kann es jeweils um höchstens weitere fünf Jahre verlängert werden.
3 Das antragstellende Departement prüft regelmässig, ob die Voraussetzungen noch erfüllt sind. Ist dies nicht länger der Fall, so stellt es dem Bundesrat Antrag auf Aufhebung des Verbots.
