1 Das SBFI konsultiert die im interdepartementalen Koordinationsausschuss für Ressortforschung vertretenen Bundesstellen hinsichtlich Relevanz und Dringlichkeit der Programme für Bundesaufgaben. Es kann zudem eine Stellungnahme des Schweizerischen Wissenschaftsrates (SWR) einholen.
2 Es unterbreitet dem WBF periodisch Vorschläge für neue Programme.
3 Das WBF beantragt dem Bundesrat die Durchführung von NFP. Dabei berücksichtigt es das in der BFI-Botschaft ausgewiesene und in der Leistungsvereinbarung mit dem SNF festgelegte Finanzvolumen pro Beitragsperiode.

1 SERI shall consult the federal departments in the interdepartmental coordination committee for government-funded research with regard to the relevance and urgency of the programme for federal tasks. It may additionally require a position statement from the Swiss Science Council (SSC)
2 It shall periodically submit proposals for new programmes to the EAER.
3 The EAER shall propose the implementation of NRPs to the Federal Council. When doing this, it shall take account of the volume of financing indicated in the ERI Dispatch and in the SNSF’s decision on contributions for the funding period.
