Art. 9 Anhörung und Vertretung des Kindes

1 Das Gericht hört so weit als möglich die Parteien persönlich an.

2 Soweit nicht das Alter des Kindes oder andere wichtige Gründe dagegen sprechen, hört das Gericht das Kind in geeigneter Weise persönlich an oder beauftragt damit eine Fachperson.

3 Es ordnet die Vertretung des Kindes an und bezeichnet als Beistand oder als Beiständin eine in fürsorgerischen und rechtlichen Fragen erfahrene Person. Diese kann Anträge stellen und Rechtsmittel einlegen.

Art. 9 Hearing and representation of the child

1 As far as possible, the court shall hear the parties in person.

2 The court shall hear the child in an appropriate manner or appoint an expert to carry out this hearing unless the age of the child or another valid reason prevents this.

3 The court shall order that the child be represented and designate as a representative a person experienced in welfare and legal matters. This person may file applications and lodge appeals.
